Adobe reader adalah sebuah aplikasi yang bertipe viewer, maksudnya adalah aplikasi yang mempunyai fungsi untuk menampilkan teks, image, presentasi, spreadsheet, dalam format file .pdf, aplikasi ini sendiri sudah menjadi standar global di dunia Internet misalnya berupa e-book (electronic book). Pada dunia pendidikan juga tak lepas aplikasi ini berperan, misalnya untuk file yang dapat didownload berupa nilai, tugas, soal-soal, juknis, dan pembahasan lainnya dalam bentuk file .pdf

So bagaimana PENTING –nya aplikasi ini harus wajib terinstal di PC atau laptop anda, jika tidak ada aplikasi ini sudah PASTI anda tidak dapat membuka file yang berformat .pdf yang anda download dari Internet atau hasil Copas dari teman anda.
Aplikasi ini sudah banyak versi dari versi 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, dan terakhir Adobe.com merilis versi terbarunya yaitu Adobe Reader X (versi 10). Pada artikel ini saya mencoba menjelaskan bagaimana cara mendapatkannya, menginstallasinya, dan penjelasan fitur terbaru dari versi X ini.
1. Mendapatkan Adobe Reader X dan langsung Installasi ke PC/notebook dari Internet
– Buka browser anda dan menuju ke alamat ini http://get.adobe.com/reader

– Klik Download now

Perhatikan dan ikuti seperti pada gambar diatas Step 1 – Step 2 – Step 3
Maka secara otomatis Adobe Reader X akan di download dan terinstallasi pada komputer / laptop anda. SilahkanSABAR menunggu selama proses installasi berlangsung.

2. Fitur Adobe Reader X
Setelah terinstal silahkan anda buka apllikasinya klik I agree dan lanjutkan wizardnya hingga seperti gambar berikut ini :

Klik Open ; untuk membuka file .pdf dari komputer anda dan menampilkannya
Klik Create PDF Online ; ini dapat anda gunakan untuk membuat file .pdf secara langsung /online
Berikut ini langkah-langkahnya :
Perhatikan sisi kanan atas dari tampilan aplikasinya Klik Sign up

Silahkan isi data yang diminta, jika telah selesai klik tombol Sign Up
Silahkan tunggu jika telah selesai tampil gambar berikut ini :

Klik option I have read and agree …. 
Klik Accept
Silahkan verifikasi pendaftaran dengan login pada email yg digunakan saat pendaftaran sebelumnya.
Lihat Kotak Masuk dan klik judul email seperti pada gbr brkt ini ;

Klik link berwarna biru yaitu https:// acrobat.com/?ev=3AFFR2 ……………………
Akan tampil gambar berikut ini :

Silahkan Close Jendela tersebut dan Buka kembali aplikasi Adobe Reader X seperti yang pertama tadi
Klik Create PDF Online ;
Klik Sign in
Masukkan e-mail dan password saat pendaftaran untuk Login. Setelah berhasil login akan tampil nama waktu mendaftar (M. Deswan Dinata)
Klik Add File
Klik file yang akan di Online-kan mjd file pdf dgn browse dari my document / komputer kita dapat berupa file darims.word, ms. Excel, dan ms. Powerpoint
Klik – Open

Klik tombol Convert
Tunggu hingga proses upload selesai – Klik Retrieve PDF File

Hasilnya seperti gambar berikut ini :

Terdapat list file yg di convert (Name) dgn tanggal pembuatan (Date Created), jumlah halaman (pages), dan ukuran file (size).
Pada bagian atas terdapat tiga tombol yaitu :
Open : jika anda ingin membuka file yang sudah di Convert sebelumnya
Klik icon paling kanan pada highlight yg muncul yaitu icon Acrobat Reader, maka hasilnya seperti gambar berikut ini :

Download : jika anda ingin mendownloadnya dan menyimpan ke komputer anda.

Klik – Save
Delete : jika anda ingin menghapus file tsb dari akun anda.

Klik Delete , jika tidak mau klik Cancel.

Jika selesai klik Sign Out pada sudut kanan layar untuk menutup akun anda.
Saya mencoba menconvert satu file lagi dgn klik pada icon Convert a File to PDF – dgn hasil sbg brk ;
Terlihat sdh 2 file pada list tsb, dan pada icon nya angka 4 berubah mjd 3.
Artinya sbg pengguna ini kita hanya diberi 5 kali / file saja untuk menggunakannya.
Untuk mendapatkan sepenuhnya kita harus membeli Versi Premium.

Combine Files to PDF : Untuk Premium Subscription / Berbayar

Setup Adobe CreatePDF Desktop Printer : Untuk trial 5 kali penggunaan
